New York fashion executive Lillian Garcia started the way u as a way to honor her Colombian heritage and share with America the intricate works of the Colombian Wayuu tribes that have long inspired her.  The artisanship of the Wayuu women -- no two hand-woven mochilla bags are alike -- brings quality, beauty, and heritage to life.  Each bag takes nearly a month to make, and no detail is spared in the final product.

As a tribute to her immigrant father's pursuit of education and a love for art and craftsmanship for himself and his family, the company will donate 10% of all proceeds to Fundacion Cerrejon-- a Colombian based organization that works with national and international bodies to promote and accelerate sustainable, fair development for La Guajira and its people.
